TAE Buffer (Tris-Acetate-EDTA) 50X is prevalently used in electrophoresis of nucleic acids with agarose gel and polyacrylamide gel. Depending on agarose/ polyacrylamide concentration prepared in TAE buffer, a wide variety of DNA sizes at high resolution can be visible in running gel from hundreds of nucleotides (base pairs) to larger fragments >2kb like genomic DNA or plasmid DNA in linear, circular and supercoiled forms.

Dilute TraceChemTM TAE 50X (stock buffer) with distilled water at ratio 1:100 in order to prepare TAE Buffer 0,5X (running buffer). Use the buffer TAE 0,5X directly as running buffer and gel preparation buffer.
